7HB visit the new Burry Port Lifeboat Station
The annual Sponsored Walk at Glan-y-Môr School once again raised over £1,000 towards the RNLI. The registration form who collected the most through sponsorship was 7HB, raising £225 and the pupil who collected the most was Ryan Morris, also from 7HB who raised £60. As a reward for this outstanding effort the pupils were invited on the afternoon of 3rd February to the newly commissioned Burry Port Lifeboat Station where they were given a guided tour of the facilities. The tour included a short talk and video on Water Safety followed by inspection and hands on experience of the D-class and Atlantic 85-class lifeboats. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would wish to thank the staff and crew members for giving their time to show them around the new building and facilities.
