CCC Scrutiny Committee impressed by pupils

We had a visit yesterday from Carmarthenshire County Council Education and Children's Committee. Councillors and officials were welcomed to the school by our senior leaders and given a tour of the school where they had the opportunity to see much of  the great work that is going on at Glan-Y-Mor. After refreshments where the committee members had a chance to talk with some of our pupils, Mr Paul Jones gave a presentation about the amazing success journey our school has been on. Before leaving the members also had the opportunity to hear all about the STEM Enrichment Programme that we run at school; the success achieved within the programme and the positive impact it has had on the pupils. The committee were very complementary about all that they had seen and were particularly impressed with the pride the pupils had in their school and how they were very keen to share their knowledge and enthusiasm.
