Carmarthen Rifle & Pistol Club win team gold at the British Air Gun Championships

Congratulations to Lucy Thomas (Year 10) who won gold as part of the Carmarthen Rifle and Pistol Club team at the British Air Gun Championships. The three girls repeated that feat at the recent North Wales Airgun Championships, winning the team gold again.

On the left is Coral Kennerley, 2014 Commonwealth Games shooter, on the right is Shawnee Bourner, also a 2014 Commonwealth Games shooter, and in the middle is Lucy Thomas, a junior compared to the other girls but who shoots as well as any senior. With a place in the GB team for the 2020 Olympics as a goal, their coach said: "The way these girls are going forward there is no doubt about it - they have a fair chance of getting there".
