D&T department producing face visors to support front line workers
As part of our ongoing support for our community, Mr Allen's been busy at home using our 3D printer, which our pupils won in a competition a few years ago, to produce visors to support the NHS.
He is printing a recommended design for the visors, which when teamed with the donations of Overhead Projector sheets from our Primary school colleagues, will help protect our NHS staff on the front line of the battle against the pandemic.
It takes roughly one hour to print a single design using PLA, which is the plastic filament used to make the visors.
Mr Allen says "I just want to be able to help our NHS, our school hub and other colleagues helping fight the virus in any way that I can."
