First stop earthquake simulator. 2008 quake was 6.3 on the richter scale which was quite intense

Gunnuhver - the mud pool ghost highly active geothermal area of mud pools and steam vents boiling practically under your feet - if you dare to walk the wood planks crisscrossing the area. Here is where you find the biggest mud pool in Iceland.
Bridge between Europe and North America on Reykjanes Peninsula. The lava-scarred Reykjanes peninsula lies on one of the world's major plate boundaries, the Mid Atlantic Ridge. According to the continental drift theory the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates are continuously drifting apart with great forces under the gaping rifts
Lava field covered in moss. The moss was so spongy it was springy like a mattress.
