Am benwythnos! What a weekend!
Nos Wener (Friday night)
After furiously unpacking and a very organised fire drill, year 7 pupils enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken curry with the traditional half and half in the new canteen. The views from the canteen are truly spectacular. Activity 1 was the Twmpath (traditional Welsh folk dancing). Pupil showed off their dancing skills while doing Dawns Mr Urdd. Activity 2 was bingo in Welsh. There were a few boogie calls!! We ended the night with some physical ball games in the leisure centre. All pupils asleep by 10.15 – da iawn chi and da iawn teachers!
Dydd Sadwrn
After a cooked breakfast, pupils embarked on the morning’s activities: wal ddringo, zip wire and quads. It was pleasing to see the pupils encouraging and helping each other.
Pupils went for a dip in the pool after lunch and were happy to lie on the inflatables after a hectic morning! Pupils then had the opportunity to use a bow and arrow in the archery session. Da iawn Jack Green for getting a bull’s eye.
We had a choice of three activities for the evening: disco, film or football. Pupils flitted between the 3 and had a ball! Pupils asleep by 10.15pm. Da iawn teachers!!
Dydd Sul
We saved the best activities for last: go-karts, skiing and toboggans. Miss Jones braved the toboggan slope but failed to go down without crashing into others!!
After the morning’s activities pupils tucked into a tasty Sunday dinner-yum!
Bus arrived at 2pm and let’s just say it was a peaceful journey home.
Penwythnos gwych – a great weekend.
