Pupils Walk To Support Local Lifeboat
Glan-y-Mor is proud to celebrate their 20th year of supporting the local community's RNLI in Burry Port.
Over the years, more than 10,000 pupils have undertaken the prestigious sponsored walk from the Glan-y-Mor School along the Millennium Coastal path leading to Llanelli and back to the school.
Mr Phil Davidson, Head of Physical Education explained 480 pupils participated again this year and are always happy to be involved in the event.
Mr Davidson added pupils thoroughly enjoyed the walk and appreciate the health benefits. They also enjoy raising funds for a worthwhile local charity, the RNLI which is always gratefully received by the Institute.
The Glan-y-Mor sponsored walks have raised in excess of £10,000 for the RNLI in Burry Port.
