Pupils celebrate Diwnod Shwmae

Another fantastic Diwrnod Shwmae at Ysgol Glan-y-Môr - Diwrnod Gwych! Year 7 experienced lots of fun, intercative Urdd activities-diolch Gethin a Lleucu o’r Urdd. Mr Urdd also visited all the classrooms and greeted our pupils with a big Shwmae! Alaw and Aled from Menter Iaith Cwm Gwendraeth delivered interesting sessions on the history of the Welsh language which year 9 thoroughly enjoyed.

All departments organised fun, bilingual events from Welsh bingo (Maths dept) to making Shwmae cakes (Food Technology). We finished the day with a bilingual concert-diolch Côr yr Ysgol for stirring a few emotions!
