Pupils enjoy Faraday Challenge
On Friday 18th March eighteen Year 7 pupils from Glan-y-Môr and eighteen Year 7 pupils from Bryngwyn took part in the Faraday Challenge at school. The school was selected as just one of six schools from across Wales for this challenge run by IET. The pupils worked in mixed teams of 6 on a coding challenge using the new BBC microbits you may have seen highlighted on the news lately. All the teams had a great day and learnt a lot about computer programming. The winning team of Georgia Marshall, Isabel Davies and Miliya Kerr from Glan-y-Môr are now keeping their fingers crossed that their winning score will be high enough to secure them a place at the national finals later this year.
