Pupils enjoy Phoenix Fire Course

During the week commencing 5th June a group of eight pupils from Glan-y-Môr attended the Phoenix Fire Course at Llanelli Fire Station with Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Service.

The aim of the course is to teach pupils the risks associated with fire, education around anti-social behaviour and things such as ladder and hose drills, search and rescue techniques, squad drills, casualty handling with some team building exercises. They also completed an Agored Cymru level 1 booklet while there. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
