Pupils enjoy visit to Cardiff to see Blood Brothers

70 of our Year 10 pupils recently visited The New Theatre, Cardiff to see a matinee production of 'Blood Brothers'.

The English Department organise the annual visit as part of the pupils' revision programme for their GCSE English Literature examination.

"Every year we try to experience the text in performance. Pupils who see the live production improve their final GCSE grade," commented Mrs Brown, who organised the visit.

Aside from the production, highlights of the day included independent time in Cardiff soaking up the city life. Year 10 students, Yasemin Thomas, Tito Sobola, Siena Mansaray and Poppy Taylor said, "it was a wonderful experience to be able to explore Cardiff as well as learn from the amazing production of ‘Blood Brothers’”.
