STEM Activities available from EESW/STEMCymru

EESW/STEMCymru have developed an exciting range of competitions and resources for students to get involved with from home, on our website at http://www.stemcymru.org.uk/home/whats-on/competitions/. 

The activities on offer can be found below and there are prizes to be won including goody bags, vouchers and in-school race days!

Every Monday on our Twitter page @EESWSTEMCymru we are setting students a Maths challenge for #MathsMonday that will test their brain power. On Tuesday at 4pm we will reveal the answers to the previous day’s challenge so students can see if they solved it!

Take part in our weekly competition, with #WinItWednesday!  Each Wednesday a competition will be posted on our twitter page with 2 options – The fun challenge or the Stretch challenge! Each week we will choose a winner who will receive a goody bag, and the winning entry will be posted on Twitter.  The weekly winners will also be entered into a prize draw for an Amazon gift voucher! Submit your competition entry, by sending us photos, videos or design drawings by 12pm every Tuesday. Entries can be posted on Twitter or emailed to i2e@eesw.org.uk. Winners announced at 10am on Wednesdays.

Our final activity for students to have a go at is #F1Friday. Starting with a basic car design, F1 Friday will show students how to use design skills to create their own car.

Best of all, the software is FREE! Every #F1Friday you can download our latest activity sheet from our website with step-by-step guidance on how to progress your design.  The best design will win an in-school race day next year.
