Visit of Mary Watkins from Welsh Water

As part of the initiative of providing information to schools and the community by Welsh Water on the forthcoming ‘Rainscape’ project in the Burry Port area Mrs Mary Watkins the peripatetic Education Officer for  Welsh Water visited Glan-y-Môr School. Pupils were educated on issues relating to sustainable development, technological advances and global citizenship.

Year 10 pupils were involved in practical workshop sessions as well as the Glan-y-Môr and Bryngwyn eco groups. This worthwhile experience enhances the pupils awareness of current developments in their locality and will enhance their Welsh Baccalaureate experiences.
