Year 10 pupils visit Aerospace Bristol
On Friday 3rd February, Aerospace Bristol took 29 of our Year 10 pupils for a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) workshop: a Mission to Mars and allowed them free roam around the museum, which included seeing the Concorde. Their STEM workshop involved taking on the role of an ESA design team developing the next generation of Mars rover. They worked in teams to work closely to a design brief set by industry experts to create their prototypes, and competed to win the contract for their company. STEM skills enhance our young people’s ability to access and succeed in rewarding careers at all levels of employment. Mr Allen, Miss Peters and Miss Harmsworth were so proud of our students for embracing this opportunity. They all participated, worked as a team and gave it their best at every aspect of the day. What a successful day! Da iawn pawb!
